What Is ISO 20000?

ISO 20000 is the international best practice standard for IT Service Management. ISO 20000-1:2011, the current version of the standard, provides a set of standardised requirements for an IT service management system, known as an ITSMS.

ISO 20000 Summary

The new version of 20000 was published in April 2011. It has been modified to more closely align it with other management system standards like ISO 9001 and ISO 27001. It is designed so that it can be easily integrated with these other standards. ISO20000 follows the cyclical Plan-Do-Check-Act model for continual improvement. There are 9 sections in ISO 20000.
