This recent certification applied to the live operational public facing zones of www.revenue.ie and www.ros.ie. It also covers all information, processes, systems and people operating within these zones located at the Revenue Commissioners’ ICT & L, Revenue Data Centres and Revenue Print Centre.

Michael Brophy CEO commented at the presentation saying “I wish to congratulate Revenue Testing on being the first in Ireland to be formally certified to ISO 29119-2. This recent certification - and I am sure it will not be the last - is a testament to the very thorough and proactive approach the Revenue Commissioners has always adopted to leading international standards. This recent certification builds upon their previous work in getting their information security management systems and business continuity management systems certified. Revenue’s adoption of the standard is a key step to building the capacity and processes necessary to adopt the new electronic filing requirements which will be implemented in 2019.”

Gerry Fogarty, Principal
r from the Information & Communications Technology and Logistics Division, said “We are delighted to be awarded the certification following independent auditing by Certification Europe. The achievement of formal ISO certification represents another significant milestone in our progression as a Professional Centralised Testing Branch for Revenue. The certification is a testament to the hard work and commitment to high standards demonstrated by the management and staff in Central Test, and we look forward to the challenge of maintaining the certification into the future. We sought to align our policies and processes with a recognised standard because we want to operate as effectively and as efficiently as we can, not only in terms of providing high quality testing services for Revenue, but also in terms of being strong advocates for the wider quality agenda and in enabling Revenue to deliver impactful projects and services that meet our strategic objectives and the needs of our customers.”
